UCF Coach George O’Leary declined to answer questions from the Orlando Sentinel and barred his players from granting interviews with the newspaper during Conference USA media day on Sunday. This was after an argument involving the Sentinel’s coverage of Ereck Plancher’s death. The newspaper has asked UCF officials to outline the mistakes, but the school has declined to discuss the errors in detail. The tickets for all the UCF games still continue to sell out fast.

Florida Gator’s receiver Percy Harvin is reported to be recovering ahead of schedule. This will be a relief for coach Urban Meyer as Harvin is a dynamic player and his recovery will help the Gators this season. He will be joining practice starting next month. Despite the injury in his right heel for which he had surgery this April, he still had a great last season. The players believe he will do even better once he recovers. His performance will be a bonus to the Gators, and will definitely help their ticket billings.

The dismissed LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux is on the hot favorite list of many schools and Coach Rick Comegy of Count Jackson state is going all out in an attempt to pursue Perrilloux to visit the campus so that he could be signed on to play for their team. The NCAA football player Perrilloux can start playing once he transfers to a Football sub divisional team and is about to finish his spring semester at the LSU that will make him eligible to play during the next season. There are reports that Alabama and Valdosta State along with Jacksonville State are going all out to sign Perrilloux into their team for the next season.
