The proficient Mallett hit wide out Greg Wilds for a 40-yard touchdown pass with 15 seconds left to seal the Razorbacks win in Athens. Arkansas will host the Crimson Tide at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Alabama look poised to contend for another national championship this year after soundly beating Penn State 24-3 in week 2. Petrino’s offense will by far be the best offense Alabama has seen so far this year. If the Razorbacks can down the defending champions in Fayetteville this weekend you can start ringing the national championship bell at the University of Arkansas.

The Arkansas Razorbacks wide receiver Marques Wade was arrested last Saturday night and put in the Washington County jail upon charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and for nearly hitting a police officer with his car. He was released on Sunday morning on a $880 surety bond. His blood alcohol test conducted through the breath analyzer showed more than the permissible legal level of 0.08. He was also charged for reckless and careless driving. The Arkansas management is aware of this grave situation and will definitely look into the matter after collecting all the required reports. The Arkansas fans will be flocking in large numbers at the ticket counters once the NCAA football season begins.

The Arkansas Razorbacks linebacker Freddie Fairchild was dismissed from the football team following his arrest in March this year for the charges of attacking a woman. The football coach of the NCAA Arkansas team Bobby Petrino said that the management has decided to dismiss Fairchild from the team rolls and are not waiting for the trial charges to commence. Freddie has been in suspension since March and also did not participate in the team practices and training sessions. The Arkansas fans will not be able to see Freddie in their team’s jersey anymore. The new season will be underway pretty soon and many fans have already purchased their tickets for the various matches.
