Jimmy Johns, the Alabama’s linebacker, is the tenth football player in the Alabama team to be arrested within a span of one year and this latest arrest on Johns is for five lawbreaking offences involving cocaine. Johns was arrested this Tuesday morning and has been put in Tuscaloosa jail for selling and possession of cocaine. The Alabama coach Nick Saban immediately took his name off from the muster rolls of Alabama University NCAA football team. The recent Alabama player arrests have jolted the composition of the team as well and the coach will have to strive for goods from his reserve players in an attempt to make a mark this football season. There is no doubt that the fans will be rushing for their tickets once the season starts.

The Athletic department spokesperson of the Indiana Hoosier University Campbell has revealed that the school’s officials have made up their mind on replacing the flood damaged football field and are trying to have the field ready for the game on August 30^th.  The heavy rains that lashed the central and southern Indiana on June 7^th has caused such a lot of damage that the foundation beneath the field has been totally destroyed. The Athletic director of Indiana Hoosiers Rick Greenspan said that the work on the stadium will take a minimum of three to four weeks to complete and will cost about $1 million. The NCAA football fans here are hoping for the work to start soon and are booking tickets in advance in anticipation that the stadium will be up and running by mid August.

The Arkansas State University fans will not see running back Preston Brown and defensive back Marlon Douglas in their team for the 2008 NCAA football season as both the players have been suspended from the team for violation of the team rules. Both these players have been reported to be involved in residential theft and burglary charges and are slated to appear before the court this month. Both these players were freshmen last year and the coach of the Arkansas State University team Steve Roberts said that this decision was taken by the management keeping in mind the team’s perspective as well as the university’s football program. Fans holding tickets for the 2008 season will not be able to see the football skills of Brown and Douglas.

The Arkansas Razorbacks linebacker Freddie Fairchild was dismissed from the football team following his arrest in March this year for the charges of attacking a woman. The football coach of the NCAA Arkansas team Bobby Petrino said that the management has decided to dismiss Fairchild from the team rolls and are not waiting for the trial charges to commence. Freddie has been in suspension since March and also did not participate in the team practices and training sessions. The Arkansas fans will not be able to see Freddie in their team’s jersey anymore. The new season will be underway pretty soon and many fans have already purchased their tickets for the various matches.

Jayvon Riddick is all the more determined this time around to make a mark for himself with his strenuous physical and mental training in a bid to impress upon football teams. He is not sure about the teams for which he has sent his applications, but wants to play for either USC or Virginia Tech or Texas or West Virginia teams in this upcoming NCAA football season. The football season this year will surely have its thrills and spills and NCAA football fans are gearing up to buy their tickets well in advance to watch their favorite team’s perform. Riddick is hoping that he finds a place to play in the college level this season. 

Randy Hardin has once again signed a new contract. Previously he had a contract with Golden Eagles. This time the contract is with Louisiana Tech. Since he has signed this contract, he will not be playing for the coming NCAA football championships. Though he will be missing the championships this season, he is very excited to work with Derek Dooley the University coach. He was carried away by their warm welcome and feels at home there. All Hardin fans are no doubt waiting to watch the play.

It has also been decided that the annual games between Oklahoma and Tulsa will be played for three consecutive years from 2013 to 2015.

Randy Hardin who signed a contract with Golden Eagles last year has signed a contract with the Louisiana Tech and will join the school this fall which will prevent him from taking part in the NCAA football championships this season. The former Southern Miss quarterback expressed his eagerness to work with Louisiana Tech University coach Derek Dooley and was really thrilled by the family like approach he received from the management. Hardin feels that he can easily fit into their style of life and will do all in his stride to improve the offensive play of the team. Hardin’s fans are sure to purchase tickets well in advance as they pretty well know what they can expect from this promising young player.

The two Penn State University NCAA football players’ defensive tackle Phil Taylor and linebacker Navorro Bowman pleaded guilty on Friday for the campus fight charges that were levied upon them last year. The Center County Judge Bradley after hearing the arguments sentenced the players for one year probation and 100 hours of community service. Both the players were sent out off the team following the campus fight and there has been no decision made yet off their status in the team. Both the players have expressed their willingness to put this behind them and start playing football again. The Penn State fans will be rushing to get their tickets to witness these players play during the forthcoming NCAA football season.
