The Mississippi state football players, defensive tackle Quinton Wesley and left tackle Michael Brown, were shown the doors by the Mississippi team management and were also dismissed from the university after reports of their arrests last Thursday night. The two promising young players were arrested for possessing two handguns inside the college campus. Police recovered the guns from the campus and arrested Brown with charges of possession of a fire arm and Wesley was charged with intensified assault and both the offenses are law breaking ones.
Brown was a key member of the Mississippi offensive line and had been on top of his game for his state last season. He received tremendous support and rare reviews for his performance as well and had started in 18 of the 19 games for his state football team. Wesley had played in 21 games with one start and was to get considerable playing time during the next season as a defensive line rotation player.
