Ereck Plancher a wide receiver of Central Florida team died on Tuesday following Voluntary strength conditioning drills. The team was to begin its spring practice on Wednesday. Police couldn’t find the exact reason for the death but were sure that there wasn’t any kind of foul play in the incident. The athletic Director of UCF, Keith Tribble explained that players did weight lifting and running for about 10 minutes. Plancher who is only 19 years collapsed as everyone was leaving. The UCF trainers present at the site gave him CPR and he was taken to hospital immediately.

Plancher was announced dead by the hospital authorities by noon. An autopsy will be conducted to identify the exact reason of his death. Tribble has informed that Plancher has passed the entire Physical test while he was taken into the team. Tribble also ruled out the chances of training in high –temperature as a reason for his collapse as the training was in an air-conditioned building. Tribble also extended the support of UCF family to the family members, friends and teammates to cope with the unexpected loss. In 2007, Keeley Dorsey of South Florida collapsed during weight training and he was found to have some genetic heart disorder in his autopsy.
