The super Bowl remains the most followed and anticipated sport event in America. The NFL has just voted that the venue for the 2011 super Bowl event would be the Arlington Stadium in Texas. The Arlington is the new home stadium of the Dallas Cowboys currently under construction. The stadium is expected to be ready in time for the 2009 season and thus would be early way before the 2011 super Bowl date. The stadium is expected to have a seating capacity of at least 100,000 fans. This would allow a further 20,000 tickets to be sold to fans who would be able to watch the match via large wide viewing screens to be placed at each end zone.
The bid to host the 2011 Super bowl Event had been narrowed down to be between the Arlington Stadium of Dallas cowboys and the Arizona stadium. After a number of considerations the bid was won by the Arlington Stadium of Texas. The stadium is estimated to cost about $1 billion and would replace the Texas Stadium which was opened in 1971. When open it would host all home games of the Dallas Texas. The stadium would on completion be the most expensive sport venue ever constructed.
